are that some of you may even have attended a folk camps in the
past. This year we are holding a three week marquee camp in August. More information is available at

Come
and try traditional North West Clog Dancing
Green
Willow Clog Dancers are hosting a taster evening for anyone interested in
trying traditional North West Clog Dancing. It’s on Thursday October 28th
at 8.00pm at Dartington Village Hall, Cott Lane. No previous experience or
clogs required!
The tradition began in the towns
and villages of the north west of England in the 18th and 19th centuries
during the Industrial Revolution . Dances were performed when the mills
and factories closed for holidays and the sound of clogs could be heard on
the cobbled streets.
Green Willow Clog was formed 27 years ago.. They have been entertaining
holiday makers and locals outside and inside South Hams pubs, at Folk
Festivals, local events and other tourist
venues ever since.
The music is provided by the Green Willow band who would welcome new
musicians, whatever they play, as long as it’s portable. Virtuosity on
your instrument is not
required and the tunes are easy to pick up!
Clog dancing is a great way to keep fit, have fun, make new friends and
discover pubs you didn’t know existed.

Publications
The Irish Concertina
1996 saw the publication of Mick Bramich's tutor
for the Anglo Concertina. The Irish Concertina by Dave Mallison
Publications. This book is an advanced manual for the instrument and has
given Mick the opportunity to run workshops at many national festivals.
The book is beginning to penetrate the U.S.A. and a workshop tour is
envisaged.
The Irish Concertina is available from
Dave Mallison Publications 3 East View Moorside Cleckheaton West Yorkshire
UK BD19 6LD e-mail: [email protected]
Absolute Beginners Concertina
This manual follows on from Mick's first tutor -
The Irish Concertina. The book explores the mine field which awaits the
prospective Anglo player, and by using the same format tablature as in his
previous book, opens up the little box of tricks to the willing learner. A
range of easy to follow diagrams, tips on maintenance and buying
concertinas plus a potted history of the makers all add up to a well
designed and planned tutor with a set of exercises which both challenge
and give instant results to the beginner. The method has been "road
tested" on new students of the instrument and they attest to the
value of the teaching system.
New Publication available shortly
'The Intermediate Concertina ~ An improver's
tutor with fully tabulated tunes for the thirty button Anglo'
To order contact Posset Press at:
Hinton House, 12 Tower Lane, Moorhaven Village,
