Anne Gill
Anne’s love of traditional song and dance goes back to the early 70’s when she was a regular singer at Newton Abbot Folk Club and went to all the Ceilidhs going.

A founder member of The Teign Ladies Morris who danced Cotswold (sadly now defunct) and also a nifty Rapper Dancer with Mummers Pride Rapper who hung up their swords a few years ago now. As an experienced Ceilidh dancer, Anne can handle most situations in her calm manner and loves the challenge of getting non dancers of all ages to feel at ease and enjoy it. When she gets the chance to dance herself, Irish Set is her passion.

Anne is also very involved in the organisation of Teignmouth Mid Summer Folk Festival and also in the new Totnes Folk Song Club, and if that’s not enough she is Chairman of the Devon Folk Committee.

Steve Gill
Steve first fell in love with traditional music when he was introduced to Fairport Convention at school. Since those early days, 35 years ago, his taste has altered quite considerably and now favours the more acoustic sound. Having played for various Morris sides and often called upon as a stand in, his real love is playing for Irish Set dancing, especially slides and polkas and bance dances. He also enjoys singing, mainly with his Anglo Concertina, gaining inspiration from singers such as Martyn Wyndham-Read and Barry Dransfield. His main love being songs that are traditional, or sound it.
