Blue Jewel

Blue Jewel are an exciting acoustic / folk band brought together by Steve Banks, drummer, violinist and vocalist with Maddy Prior & the Carnival Band, and Chanter. The band members are all great musicians from South Devon: Steve on vocals and violin, Pat Butterly on double bass, Elliot Blackler on acoustic guitar, and Ben Burrow on drums. June 2010 saw the release of their first album, Dart Songs, arrangements of traditional songs and tunes together with some great original compositions by Steve, all inspired by the beauty and history of the Dart estuary. “Amazing instrumentals, subtlety and imagination, interesting history, a memorable and enjoyable album.” – Colin Andrews, What’s Afoot (Devon's Folk Magazine)

Blue Jewel perform regularly to enthusiastic audiences in Devon and beyond. “We really enjoyed the concert!
