Cyril Tawney - Live Recrdings needed
Recordings of Cyril Tawney's concert and club appearances are needed for inclusion in his Archive, which will be held by the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library at the English Folk Dance and Song Society in London, and I wonder if any of your readers/listeners can help. I have already received several very useful items, but there are still some gaps to be filled, particularly by the many traditional songs in his repertoire which were not recorded commercially. If you have ever been tempted by Morris dancing or have past experience Lodestone Border welcomes new recruits. Lodestone Border Morris practises on Thursday nights in Horrabridge Village Hall between 8 and 10 p.m. with the aim of dancing out at local pubs and weekend festivals during the summer months. Lodestone is an adult mixed side who dance in tatter coats, use big sticks and dance with energy and attitude!
