Cyril Tawney - Live Recrdings needed
Recordings of Cyril Tawney's concert and club appearances are needed for inclusion in his Archive, which will be held by the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library at the English Folk Dance and Song Society in London, and I wonder if any of your readers/listeners can help. I have already received several very useful items, but there are still some gaps to be filled, particularly by the many traditional songs in his repertoire which were not recorded commercially. Lodestone Border Morris practises on Thursday nights in Horrabridge Village Hall between 8 and 10 p.m. with the aim of dancing out at local pubs and weekend festivals during the summer months. Lodestone is an adult mixed side who dance in tatter coats, use big sticks and dance with energy and attitude! | Are you enthusiastic and dynamic?
Eat The Rich are an experienced and versatile folk-rock band with a unique sound and a wealth of original and traditional material, as well as a few rousing cover versions. We are a four piece consisting of guitar, fiddle/mandolin, drums/harmonica and bass and vocals x 3. We have had some success in getting work (see the events list) but we all have busy day jobs as well as the band. We are looking to bring on board a manager who would be a "fifth" member of the band and share the spoils accordingly on an equal basis. We have our own PA and backline and some publicity material. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who possesses a thick skin to contact festivals and venues and try and get us more work. Who knows - maybe even record companies! The sky's the limit as they say!
