Fiddle Player
Olivia Dunn - experienced and versatile fiddle player and teacher based in Exeter but happy to travel. I specialise in English folk music (played with passion, rhythm and attitude!) but play a wide range of genres and rule nothing out. I am the fiddle player for Mad Dog Mcrea, I have also played for Eat The Rich and BeckyFalls and depped for many other bands (including ceilidh) in the South West. I play by ear but can read dots for more obscure numbers and I learn fast. Double Bass player
I am a double bass player who has recently started playing folk music again thanks to my friends in Denbury. Most of my time is spent playing jazz but 40 years ago I was in a Scottish folk group called the Islanders. We did lots of TV Radio and recording in the 60s. Musette Accordionist Available
My instrument is musette accordion. I played for a few minutes on David Fitzgerald's Saturday morning show in January and more recently performed solo at a dinner at Powderham Castle. My speciality is Scottish and Irish reels, jigs and hornpipes as well as French Musette and the waltzes of Johann Strauss. I have just finished my National Certificate in Music and start my Music Degree at Exeter in September. I play and own Full kit, Djembe, Conga, Darabuka, Timbale, Udu, Bongoes and various other items you can hit or slap! I also work part-time as a drum tutor. I have lots of gigging experience including depping, touring, festivals, clubs and events. I have also played live on the radio a few times. I am based in Torbay, South devon and own my own rehearsal/recording studio. I can't pigeonhole my musical taste as it is so varied. I do prefer creating original music rather than doing covers, but I am open to all and any musical suggestions. As a preference I do prefer playing percussion to full kit.
