Drummer/Percussionist available.
I currently play in the band Simplicity Complex, but as two members are off to do music degrees soon I would like to find a new project to keep me busy! I play and own Full kit, Djembe, Conga, Darabuka, Timbale, Udu, Bongoes and various other items you can hit or slap! I have lots of gigging experience including festivals, clubs and events. I have also played live on the radio a couple of times. I am based in Torbay, South devon and own my own rehearsal space. I can't pigeonhole my musical taste as it is so varied. I do prefer creating original music rather than doing covers, but I am open to all and any musical suggestions. As a preference I do prefer playing percussion to full kit. Mandolin / Mandola player requires work with gigging band, or is willing to join others to form a band with a view to playing gigs. I am based in South Devon , and play traditional folk dance, but am also interested in Appalachian style.

Fiddle Player
Olivia Dunn (27) I’m an experienced fiddle player looking for extra work and some variety. I play with a rock band (www.thenaturalsuk.com) but although they are a priority I find I have time on my hands where I could be gigging. I have depped for a number of Ceilidh bands – I enjoy playing for dancing and know all the ceilidh and session favourites. I can read dots for more obscure numbers and I learn fast. I have a 5 string fully electric violin which works very well with PA systems, and I have an acoustic which can be mic’d up if necessary for quieter gigs. I am experienced in recording. I also play other genres and am quite capable of improvising, some would say ‘winging it’!! My name is Carlton Hunt, I'm a drummer looking for working barn dance and ceilidh bands for deps,stand ins etc., I'm a vastly experienced drummer in the folk idiom (barn dances,ceilidhs, folk/rock bands,Irish groups etc. ) I've recently been depping for Dave Mattacks in 'The Feast Of Fiddles' band at the Jersey International festival, this band features many of the UK's most renown fiddle players including Peter Knight, Ian Cutler , Tom Leary,Chris Leslie and Garry Blakeley. I've also recently completed a year long world tour with UK Ska legends Bad Manners taking in Japan, Australia, NZ, Argentina, Brazil, Bahrain, Dubai, Italy, Spain, Holland, Germany, Ireland, UK and the Shetlands !. As well as guesting with Kent band 'The Hot Rats' and continuing appearances with UK premier function band 'The Melody Fakers' . I'm now looking to expand my folk horizons and am looking for working bands/groups/songwriters/artists to collaborate with on gigs/tours or recording projects. |
