I have also played live on the radio a few times. I am based in Torbay, South devon and own my own rehearsal/recording studio. I can't pigeonhole my musical taste as it is so varied. I do prefer creating original music rather than doing covers, but I am open to all and any musical suggestions. As a preference I do prefer playing percussion to full kit. I'm looking for a band that do original material, although I don't mind doing a few covers. Would prefer someone established that are doing the festival circuit etc, but will talk to anyone if they are ambitious, hardworking and dedicated! I teach acoustic guitar, mandolin and clawhammer banjo from home in the South Hams area of South Devon(cup of tea included!). I will teach beginners in any style on acoustic guitar and up to advanced level bluegrass flatpicking. I like to start people off with a focus on good technique and methods of practise and like to bring this into tunes and solos that build in certain techniques. Back up and rhythm playing is another important focus in my teaching and later on, soloing and improvisation.
